I come upon messages – just at the right time, during the waves of my current struggle, that seem to remind me about what my focus is, who I am, where I am going. I simply want to keep them up here, so I don’t forget.
“Have the courage to follow your heart & intuition; they somehow already know what you truly want to become.” ~ Steve Jobs – Thanks to Kind Over Matter
“The problem with communication is the illusion that it has occurred.” – George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950) Irish playwright and essayist
Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
…Love the people who treat you right.
Forget about the ones who don’t.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said life would be easy.
They just promised it would be worth it. (Author? who knows… but I like it)
My profound realization of the morning – to call a gift freely given in love a “sacrifice” demeans the gift, and relegates both the giver and the receiver to being unequal…and even gratitude is a gift to be given freely, not something that is ever “owed.” – Delene Cole
To be fully human, people ought to have as authentic a relationship as possible with others. They should know that in their deepest being they are intrinsically free to reconstruct and transform themselves, and they need to grant others the same powerful freedom. ~ David Spiegel, M.D. (A gift of a quote found on Keri Smith’s Blog on which she states she found it in the book Anticancer by David Servan-Schreiber)
Problems provide opportunities to participate in life – Becoming A Master Student (The book I teach College Success from!)
The current difficulties in your life are not a sign of deserving hardship but a way to gain special strength, staying power, trust in yourself and the universe, and love for yourself. The intensities of the challenges you experience reflect the potential gifts that you would obtain by passing through them with courage and determination. ~Andreas Moritz
We turn to (the Universe) God for help when our foundations are shaking, only to learn that it is (the Universe) God who is shaking them. – Unknown
… focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it. – Greg Anderson
The universe will fill your cup — if you carry a big cup, a little cup, or a thimble! – Sonia Choquette
Delene Cole – When I cross a creek by way of stepping stones with the purpose of getting to the other side, I value each stone for the step it is, and with care and balance move on to the next one. Realization…as grateful as I am, I don’t carry each stone with me as I continue on or I would never get to where I am going.
Tammy A Barr – We must sometimes fall apart in order to rebuild… reinvent. Think of an animal that sheds….you are divine. don’t be frantic to pick up all the pieces, instead give yourself permission to inspect your pieces, and decide if you want them back.
Everyone in your life, Evelyn, was specially summoned to help you think and feel things you have never thought or felt before. It’s working, huh? … Which, of course, Evelyn, is why you summoned them….

When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us. – Alexander Graham Bell
The grass is not, in fact, always greener on the other side of the fence. Fences have nothing to do with it. The grass is greenest where it is watered. When crossing over fences, carry water with you and tend the grass wherever you may be. Robert Fulghum, It Was on Fire When I Lay Down on It

“Many times we desire to change the people in our life that don’t meet our expectations. We overestimate our ability to change others because we fear the unknown. When we understand our ability to create the exact life we desire, we realize we can create new relationships with people that will meet our expectations … not because we changed them but because that is who they already are.” – Nick Bogatin
“If we all did the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves.” – Thomas A. Edison
“No matter who broke your heart, or how long it takes to heal, you’ll never get through it without your friends. Relationships are like glass. Sometimes it’s better to leave them broken than try to hurt yourself putting it back together.” – Anonymous
